Write your story.
Multi-week workshops.
Accountability, community, and time to write. Our multi-week workshops are perfect for writers looking to build a regular writing routine.
Lorrie Moore once said that, “for the writer, the facts of life are like ingredients in a kitchen cupboard.” The cake we make is the story we end up telling. “That,” she says, “is how life and art are related.” No matter what we write, our experiences, observations, and inclinations are the greatest inspiration and fodder for our work. In this weekly generative workshop, writers will receive a series of prompts to help them tap into their deepest material and move them into a sustained period of writing. Afterward, we’ll have the opportunity to share our work and receive thoughtful feedback from the group.
This workshop will take place online.
Mondays or Wednesdays, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.; 10-week session begins the week of September 14th

All of our writing workshops emphasize writing time, community and craft development, giving and receiving constructive feedback, developing voice, and nurturing creativity and confidence.

Unlike many area workshops, we limit enrollment to eight participants to keep our workshops intimate and personal. You will never be shuffled into a breakout room or leave a class without the benefit of the instructor’s time and attention.
The Manuscript Intensive, with Dori Ostermiller
Receive support and guidance through the daunting task of writing a book.
The Manuscript Intensive is a
year-long program that provides structure, support, inspiration and critical feedback to help writers complete a book-length manuscript.
The Revision Intensive,
with Emily Lackey
Revising a book draft requires radically different techniques than drafting something new. In this year-long program, writers will meet every other month to discuss innovative ways to see their drafts anew, set goals for the month ahead, and receive critical feedback on up to 300 pages of their work.
