We will meet for eight Friday night/Saturday intensives, two one-on-one conferences, and will exchange work and feedback on a regular basis.  This workshop will provide the inspiration, structure and editorial support to help you finish a draft of that book!  The group will culminate with a public reading and celebration.  More

The Winter Splurge, with Celia Jeffries
If you’ve been hankering to take the writing plunge, or are in need of creative recharging, this is the perfect opportunity! This four-week workshop is open to writers of all levels and genres.  We will write freely from imaginative prompts designed to break through blocks, quiet the critical, doubting mind and open up the playful writer who is ready to blossom.  Appropriate for beginners.

Thursdays, 6:00 - 9:00 pm
4-week session begins January 28 ($160)

The Art of Memoir, with David Lovelace:
This 8-week seminar will help you begin to structure your anecdotes into a cohesive, compelling storyline. We’ll spend some time exploring the challenges specific to the genre. Questions like, “Will my family disown me when this comes out?” or “Is it bad to be a narcissist?” We’ll cover the art of remembering: the ethics of working with chronology and reconstructing details and dialogue. Through creative exercises and discussion, we’ll explore ways to move your story toward catharsis and bring immediacy to the past.  Finally, we’ll share our own work and peer edit in a supportive atmosphere.

Tuesdays, 6:00 - 9:00 pm
8-week session begins February 2nd ($320)

Intermediate/Advanced Fiction Workshop, with Ellen Meeropol:
This eight-week workshop is geared toward fiction writers with some experience who are looking for detailed, constructive feedback on manuscripts. Participants will engage deeply with their stories while reviewing the tools of the trade.  Each week, we’ll explore an element of craft, write together, and discuss members’ work. Start a new project or make headway on your work-in-progress!

Wednesdays, 6:00 - 9:00 pm
8-week session begins February 3rd and ends March 31st   ($320)
Note:  No session on 2/24
